Meet Dr. Amy Blossom
Dr. Amy Paxton Blossom was raised in Tupelo, MS and graduated from Tupelo High School in 1993. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emory University in 1996, Dr. Blossom studied at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she completed both her Master of Science in Microbiology and her Doctor of Medicine. In 2006, She was awarded the Carl Evers Resident of the Year Award while completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UMMC.
Dr. Blossom worked as a staff physician at UMMC from 2008 to 2010, and in 2010 earned her board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. From 2011 to 2020, she was a physician at New Albany OB-GYN Clinic and on staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital. In 2021, she began Carlyle Concierge Medicine.
She has three children with her husband, Dr. Benjamin Blossom, an Interventional Cardiologist. The Blossoms are active members of Lawndale Presbyterian Church in Tupelo. She has been a member of the Tupelo Junior Garden Club, Tupelo Garden Club, a board member and the past president of Tupelo Ballet, and is a life member of Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo. She has also worked with Parkgate Pregnancy Center performing ultrasounds and teaching Mpower curriculum within the Tupelo Public School District.
Dr. Blossom enjoys reading, gardening, travel, cooking and the arts. For her, concierge medicine is a way to form lasting relationships with patients while providing personalized and comprehensive care. At Carlyle Concierge Medicine, Dr. Blossom’s goal is the restoration of the old fashioned doctor-patient relationship combined with all of the benefits of modern technology.
